Our lodge/main facility is at capactiy. This means in order to save more lives we have to build more spaces. No matter if a fox is living in our main facility or one of our cottages the same standard of care and indoor/outdoor environment is provided. We need your help to be able to continue to save lives.
Each one of our standard cottages is a little over 400 sq/ft costs close to $5,000 . This size cottage can house up to four foxes. Our larger cottages that can house up to 8 cost close to $7,000 to construct. Your gift will allow us to continue to expand and save more lives. If you would like to donate the total amount for one cottage, a plaque will be placed on that cottage with your name or another phrase/dedication of your choosing. We can't do it without you. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of our local community. From providing food and shelter to those in need to offering educational programs and support services, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us. By supporting Walking Wild Fox Rescue, you are supporting your community and helping to build a brighter future for all.
Did you know that Walking Wild is home to more non-wild Arctic fox than any other sanctuary in the US. We are currently home to 20 Arctic fox with more waiting to join the Walking Wild family on our waitlist and others that will soon be in need of our help.
Every species of fox has their own unique needs, and Arctics are no exception. In addition to the unique needs that come with their species, over half of our Arctic fox were surrendered to us with old injuries or medical conditions from improper care, unethical breeding and abuse. This means that in addition to an environment for their species specific needs, their environment is also designed for their individual needs as well. With the knowledge and experience we have working with Arctic fox, we are being called on more and more to help with these unique and amazing animals. In order to be able to continue to help, we need to expand. Construction has already begun and we have raised almost half of the needed $15,000 to complete this project, but we can't complete it until all funds are raised.
